Company Description:
Independent Pictures is one of Ireland's foremost production companies, employing twenty people on a full time basis and at least another ten on contract at any given time. Established since 1979 it has gained a reputation as an innovative producer of factual programming across documentary, magazine and lifestyle genres. The company produces 40 - 50 hours of prime time television every year for a range of broadcasters including RTE, TG4 and BBC.

Experience:
Notable successes for Independent Pictures include Feud, Rip Off Republic, Show Me The Money and Ear To The Ground. Crime series Feud was broadcast in the Summer of 2007 and achieved an average 38% share. The controversial Rip Off Republic achieved a huge 54% share and an audience of 838,000 in its final episode in September 2005. The series was presented by Eddie Hobbs who also fronts Show Me The Money, one of the most successful factual series on Irish television. Series II peaked with a 42.6% share and 572,000 viewers. Series III moved to the key Sunday night 8.30 slot and achieved a record 604,000 viewers in programme 5. Ear To The Ground is one of the longest running programmes on RTE and in 2008 will begin its 16th season.
