In Development:
Slí na Fírinne, Drama 25mins x6 A drama series in conjunction with writer Mícheál Ó Conghaile. Slí na Fírinne will be a dark comedy based in a Gaeltacht nursing home. It will incorporate many of Cré na Cille’s themes and the patients will be as harsh and as humorous as they were in the outside world as the acrimonious relationships they had with each other in their previous lives continue in their new home.
Documentary 25 mins x4 We are also developing a series based on notable Irish-Americans who left their mark on the world. Among those were such people as the film director John Ford, the car-maker Henry Ford, father of the 23rd American President, Joseph Kennedy, and the king of animation, Walter Disney. Few Irish people know much about these men, fewer still know how greatly their Irish roots influenced their lives.
Documentary 52 mins x1 We are presently develpoing a documentary based on the famous photograph entitled Lunch a top a skyscraper. It was widely believed that these men, who were taking a break from their work on the Rockerfeller Centre, were Italian. However, recent evidence that has come to light reveals that two of these men were Galwegians. Documentary 5
