Metropolitan Films has formed a strategic alliance with World 2000 to provide Executive/Co-Production services to incoming productions including "Reign of Fire" (Spyglass Entertainment), "The Count of Monte Cristo" (Spyglass Entertainment), "An Everlasting Piece" (Dreamworks) and to offer co-production financing to European projects, most recently "Not Afraid, Not Afraid" (Cinerenta).

"H3" 2001 - Producer
A powerful story about the events leading up to the 1981 Maze hunger strikes. Directed by BAFTA award winning Les Blair and released in September 2001.
"Nora" 2000 - Producer
Feature Film directed by Pat Murphy with Metropolitan as co-producers. A film based on the life of Nora Barnacle's relationship with James Joyce starring Ewan MacGregor and Susan Lynch. Winner of 3 Pescara Awards including Best Film and winner of IFTA Award for Best Actress.
"Angela's Ashes" 2000 - Co-producer
A feature film based on the acclaimed novel by Frank McCourt, which won the 1997 Pulitzer Prize. This mesmerising account of a young boy's childhood was shot in Dublin, Limerick and Cork. The film premiered in Dublin, London and the US during January 2000 and is currently on worldwide release. Directed by oscar nominated Alan Parker. Co-producers with World 2000 Entertainment. Winner of 3 IFTA Awards including Best Film.
"Mal" 1999 - Co-producer
Feature film based in Portugal about an Irish woman, Cathy, living in Lisbon. It is written and directed by Alberto Seixas Santos and the lead producer is Rosa Films in Portugal. Was shown in competition at the Venice Film Festival in 1999. Portuguese/Irish co-production.
"Sunset Heights" 1997 - Co-producer
Feature film. Directed by Colm Villa who has worked extensively in the UK television industry, directing episodes of Bergerac, Medics, The Bill and So You Think You've Got Troubles. Co-production between Northlands Films in Derry and Scorpio Films based in Pinewood Studios, London. Jane Balfour Ltd is attached as Sales Agent. Financed by the Irish Film Board, the Northern Ireland Lottery, Co-operation North and a consortium of equity and Section 481 investments. It recently won the Best Feature for a First Time Director Award at the Cairo Film Festival.
"Sulky" 1998 - Co-producer
Major two part drama set in France and Ireland about two brothers competing both on and off the horse race track. Produced in association with Cipango, a leading French production company and financed by France 2, France 3, CNC, PROCIREP, RTEBF Belgique and RTE.
