In September 2007 Newgrange Pictures released its 1st feature film, KINGS, an bilingual film featuring Colm Meany, directed by Tom Collins and Produced by Jackie Larkin. KINGS is also the offical Irish selection for the for Best Foreign Language Oscar.
Happy Ever Afters will be Newgrnage Pictures next feature, a romantic comedy written and directed by Stephen Burke and produced by Lesley McKimm. Happy Ever Afters will begin shooting early 2008.

Kings focuses on group of Irish speaking men from Conamara. Who emigrated from Ireland to London, promising to return home rich and successful. They left Ireland in the early eighties when Ireland’s emigration figures were at a peak. The characters have all worked in the building game in England. Twenty-five years have past when Jackie, the youngest member of the gang, dies. The action takes place as the others come together to give him a traditional Irish send off before his body returns to Ireland for burial. His body was found on the railway, crushed by the passing train. Though the film it becomes obvious that some of the gang have survived better than others. It is when his friends are forced to confront the possibility that Jackie’s death was no accident but possibly suicide that they must face up to the bitter chill of truth.
