Documentary for the Townlands series on RTE. Island Life tells the story of one man who decided to leave the rat race in search of peace and contentment in a rural idyll. Drogheda man Tony Smith visited the small island of Inishbofin, off the north west coast of Donegal 13 years ago, and instantly decided he had to make his life there. This programme follows Tony over the course of his year long struggle to convert a derelict island house into a hostel. Broadcast on RTE 1 in September 2002.
