Sasha King has been making films with funders including The Irish Film Board, The Arts Council since 2003.

Her directorial debut feature film AKRON shot in Ohio and Florida tells the sensitive complex love story of two college freshmen falling in love yet having to overcome an event in their past and has been referred to as 'evolutionary in LGBTQ filmmaking'.

AKRON has won 11 festival awards to date and signed a distribution deal with US distributor Wolfe for release in 2017 and penned a world online deal with Hulu and Roku.

Sasha is presently completing the feature documentary on the extraordinary Irish woman Vicky Phelan.
