Funders and Funding

There are multiple sources of funding for both English and Irish language productions in Ireland.  From our Public Service Media, RTÉ and TG4, Coimisiún na Meán Sound and Vision Scheme, National screen agency – Screen Ireland, regional funding from the WRAP Fund and European funding from Creative Media Europe. There is also the Film and TV tax credit Section 481 which is applicable to a wide section of genres. Find out more about these opportunities here.

Human Resources 

SPI negotiates and oversees the implementation of Union agreements with the ICTU affiliated sectoral Unions. In addition to this we provide support to members in ensuring that their internal HR policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with legislation. This section provides a suite of template HR documents, up to date information on SPI/Union agreements, and information on IR/HR best practice, as well as helpful links. ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) 

It is more critical than ever that the sector plays a leading role in sustainability, diversity, and inclusion and that this is unpinned by good corporate governance and oversight. In order to support this work and to help members lead on this within their own companies SPI provides template documents, best practice information and sample policies on topics such as Diversity and Inclusion and sustainable production, as well as helpful links.
