Governance

As a representative organisation, the integrity of our operations is vital. We are committed to best practice in governance and have started on the journey of compliance with the Governance Code. All our procedural activities follow the standards it sets out, and SPI adheres to the regulatory requirements outlined in its governing document.

SPI is overseen by a voluntary Board of Directors, elected from and by our membership, which meets a minimum of six times a year. Led by an independent, external Chairperson, our Board embodies a diverse mix of expertise from multiple disciplines within the audiovisual industry.

The Board of Directors supports and guides our business, ensuring we look after the interests of our members while upholding the highest standards of corporate governance. Our Board is essential to our growth as an organisation and it supervises our strategic development, our operational effectiveness and the delivery of our mission.

To further our commitment to good governance and to strengthen the SPI mandate, we have also established several specialist committees. Committee members are elected from our membership, and their advice and direction enhance the impact of our work.

SPI is fully transparent in all financial respects. We keep detailed books and records of accounts, and we maintain strict financial controls. Our annual report is published each year and contains audited financial statements.
