Queen’s Gambit Films is a Dublin based, women driven production company, established in 2018 and operating between Ireland and Los Angeles. We were founded on the belief that screen stories are better when the people making them are more diverse, and on every production at least 75% of our crew are women, LGBTQIA+ and/or from underrepresented communities.
We develop and produce distinctive, character led work with an Irish perspective and international appeal. Our award winning shorts include a Galway Film Fleadh Best Short, a SXSW Best Short and an IFTA nominated film, and we are now developing features, with two projects in development and shoots planned for the end of 2027 and early 2028.
As we grow, our aim is to build lasting relationships with international producers, sales agents and financiers that bring creative partnerships, co-productions and employment back to Ireland, and that give Irish crews, talent and stories a stronger presence on the world stage.
