Group Head of Factual and Group Head of Arts & Culture

Seán MacGiolla Phádraig has been appointed as Group Head ofFactual and Ann-Marie Power has been appointed Group Head of Arts & Culture following external competitions.

Seán has extensive experience across Current Affairs, Factual, Lifestyle and Comedy programming (as a producer,commissioner and executive producer). As Head of RTÉ's Factual Unit for the last three years, he hasoverseen the delivery of some of RTÉ's highest rating andmost impactful documentaries made by in-house teams, includingSugar Crash, My Homeless Family, The CrossingandFairytale of New York.

AsGroup Head of Factual, Seanwilldeliver and oversee the implementation of a group factual strategy across TV, radio and online.

Ann-Marie Power has a vast range ofexperience across current affairs, arts anddocumentary programming and since 2010hasbeen Editor of Entertainment, Music & ComedyforRTÉ Radio 1.She is alsoHead of RTÉ Independent Radio Production where she has commissioned shows includingPantisocracy, Second Captains,That Baz Thing,The Poetry Show with Olivia O' LearyandCallan's Kicks.

Sean and Anne-Marie will reportto Niamh O'Connor, RTÉ'sDeputy Director of Content. Sean takes up the positionwith immediate effect, while Ann Marie takes up her position from Monday9thApril.
