ENTERTAINMENT CENTENARY 2016 PROGRAMME INSERTS

As part of the commemoration/celebration of 1916 – RTÉ will transmit a series of programmes and events across Easter week. One of the events will take place in the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre and will be broadcast live on Easter Monday the 28th of March 2016 at 9.30pm on RTÉ ONE. The programme will celebrate the achievements of Ireland from the foundation of the state to the present day, through Dance, Music, Archive, Poetry and Song.

The programme will have elements of pre recorded EFP. We are looking for Ideas from interested Production companies for the following EFP inserts. The companies chosen will need to work closely with the core production team in RTÉ and be willing to follow a strict brief to ensure smooth flow between pre recorded inserts and Live show.

BUDGET INSERTS A (1) + (2): BUDGET RANGE TOTAL €65,000 - €75,000

INSERT A (1) KILMAINHAM GAOL

This is for the most part a music shoot. The chosen production company will need to secure big name acts have experience of negotiating performer and music clearances, demonstrate an ability to shoot live music on location, deal with complicated sound mixes and show an ability to shoot inserts for inclusion in a live show.

To reflect upon and remember the events which took place in Kilmainham following the rising we would like to record with some of Ireland’s best Singers and Musicians in Kilmainham Gaol.

In your project outline could you suggest artists for the insert and some songs that could be performed. Please suggest key production staff that would work on the piece, include director, camera, sound and editor. The Production Designer/Lighting Designer and core team within RTÉ will work closely with the chosen production company to ensure the style of the piece fits the overall programme.

INSERT A (2): LOCATION TBC GRIEVING
