UTV Ireland is currently seeking programme ideas from Independent Production Companies for the next round of the Broadcasting Funding Scheme (Sound & Vision III, Round 26) which closes on April 7th. Reaching out to a broad demographic across Ireland, the channel carries a mixture of entertainment, drama and lifestyle programming along with news and current affairs. UTV Ireland is looking for engaging and entertaining, half-hour lifestyle and observational documentary programmes which reflect contemporary Irish society. The series will need to work in our key peak-time slots and should have broad appeal. The channel is also looking for a formatted hour-long series, documentaries and documentary series for peak-time. The channel is also particularly interested in ideas with additional finance opportunities attached and / or possible co-broadcasters. We are also willing to explore all-Ireland ideas which could also be broadcast on our sister station UTV, which is based in Northern Ireland.

UTV Ireland will accept a maximum of two submissions per company for each category. The closing date for submissions is Friday, March 4th at 5pm.

One page per idea plus an indicative budget is all that is required at this stage. Ideas must be sent via email only to commissioning@utv.ie. Postal submissions will not be accepted.
